From the time you file until your case is heard…
…your Social Security lawyer should have had time to properly review your medical records.
That’s right your attorney should have properly reviewed your records.
Never wait until the Hearing phase to review those records as then it will be too late.
You see, during the Hearing phase Social Security will no longer order your medical records.
It will be your responsibility to submit records to them, or to have your Social Security attorney order and submit the updated medical records covering the time from the last time Social Security ordered them at the Reconsideration phase.
If you have Medical Opinion Statements from your treating doctors, they can be submitted at this time.
At some point in this phase your case will be assigned to a specific Judge and his clerk will contact you or your attorney to schedule your Hearing.
